All About Dayton Oldies 97.7 and 101.5

Who We Are

We are a Low-power community stereo FM station, WSWO, 97.7 MHz and 101.5.

We serve Huber Heights, Vandalia, North Dayton, Fairborn, Riverside, Tipp City, and Harrison Township. Our signal is reaching more than 150,000 people.

  • Went on-the-air in September 2004 with 97.7
  • FM 101.5, a privately owned repeater station broadcasting the same programming as 97.7 went on-the-air in January 2007
  • Now broadcast 24/7
  • Public, non-commercial operation of the radio station
  • Everyone associated with the station is an unpaid volunteer
  • Can accept underwriting funds (donations) from the business community and the general public
  • We are acknowledging all donors with on-the-air donor mentions
  • We are registered with the State of Ohio as a non-profit corporation. The IRS recognizes us as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public foundation.

Our Format

  • “ULTIMATE OLDIES” from the 50s, 60s and early 70s.
  • EXTREMELY WIDE VARIETY of over 4,000 tunes.
  • ROCK, RHYTHM &BLUES, and COUNTRY CROSSOVERS
  • BIG BAND music every Saturday morning
  • INFORMATION – community events and public service announcements
  • NO COMMERCIALS - but we talk about our sponsors.
